[break][break] they haven't found the sealstones yet, a fact that is concerning in itself.

[break][break] he sails through dewford's open skies until suddenly - out of nowhere - dark light flares in his direction. it spirals in the familiar form of SPIRIT SHACKLE.

[break][break] darkness gathers around jayden's angle, swerving him towards and off his mount. his heart drops as FEAR claws it's way into his throat, eyes wide.

[break][break] rapidly, he gathers himself. shadows grow around his fist as one of the blades of his Duoblade materialize, and he wields Samosek fiercely as he twists in the air. phantoms glow around the pokemon's metal edge as jayden swings downward, slashing down on the invisible force restricting astlik.

[break][break] the shadows flicker and fade, as astlik rights herself and arcs downward. she sweeps jayden off his feet, just barely before he crashes into the unrelenting sea.

[break][break] "reveal yourself!" the admin barks out, voice rougher than it normally would be.

+ spirit hurts and injures jayden, dragging him from his dragapult. in mid-air, he releases his DUOBLADE to help free astlik with SHADOW SNEAK and mounts her again.

[attr="class","body"] his eyes immediately flit over to the brunette who calls out to him, a violet storm of brewing emotions before recognition bleeds through. angelo vestri.

[break][break] how unfortunate that it was that they had to meet on the battlefield like this.

[break][break] "you have?"

[break][break] leftover paranoia from going in and out of the ultra deep sea licks a dangerous heat up his spine. there wasn't a way that his disguise could have been revealed, right? before he can respond to it, however, there is a sudden PRESSURE as the telekenesis wraps around the dragapult — and therefore jayden too.

[break][break] he struggles for a moment, before a sharp whistle cuts through and shadows come to the dragapult's defense. they are sucked into the portal of PHANTOM FORCE, before reappearing several feet away, safe from the shadow claw that comes for him.

[break][break] "turns out they didn't tell you enough, if you're still trying to fight me."

[break][break] jayden leaps off of his dragapult and onto the floor, and menacing shadow gather in the palm of his hand in the form of the hilt of his doublade. lashing out, a SPRINGTIDE STORM bursts from it towards angelo without remorse.

[break][break] Had anyone ever described Jayden in such a way? Ecstatic was not ordinarily an emotion he wore on his face, regardless if he felt it or not. Was he even capable of feeling that way? Were any Rockets who were like him, born and bred in the kiln of Kanto Rocket's, capable of such a thing?

[break][break] Violet eyes catch the sight of glowing white. Wait —

[break][break] A feeling of recognition washes over him, but it's too late. Two things happen all at once — power pulses in his hand and STEALS his doublade into some space of powerless nothing; a fist comes sailing out of a portal and into his jaw. Agony pulses as he leaps backward, wiping the back of his mouth with a hand, as he spits blood into the sand.

[break][break] Fierce eyes snap to Angelo's.

[break][break] "I only attack civilians who deserve it."

[break][break] And no matter who this guy was, he deserved it. For throwing not only the first attack, but the first punch.

[break][break] A light forms behind Angelo as Kozma releases itself from it's pokeball. An ICE PUNCH is aimed at the civilian and Decidueye, sharp and cruel.

[attr="class","body"] A rush of wind sailed past, a sudden and violent burst of energy that rocked the sands in which Jayden should. In the flash of his eye, he could see the Decidueye proudly take the hit for his trainer.

[break][break] Admirable. Useful, even, if they were battling Rockets.

[break][break] The GIGA DRAIN strikes two, whippets of emerald energy swarming around the Urshifu. The legendary bear struggles for only but a second before breaking through, the soulsucking jade disappearing into pinpricks of light. Immediately, his herculean fist clenches with a flare of white-hot power as it aims to land a devastating COUNTER.

[break][break] Meanwhile, angelo vestri's fists come for Jayden. The Rocket leaps back as the civilian leaps for him, shadows suddenly snapping around his torso. They lash out and swallow the trainer whole, encasing him in a quick PHANTOM FORCE. Moments later, Jayden takes to the skies atop his Dragapult.

[break][break] "I'd run if I were you, Vestri."

[break][break] From his belt, Jayden wields POISON BARBS like shuriken and flings them down.

[break][break] A million worm-like shadows from his Dragapult's cannons plunge towards the civilian and his pokemon. Ironically the same method of assault that had once nearly swallowed Locke Jamison whole.

[attr="class","body"] This time, Jayden is sure. When angelo vestri leaps on the back of a pokemon's back, it all connects together. It snaps immediately into place.

[break][break] Though typically he did not make it habit to attack civilians, some things had to be done in the name of Rocket. In the name of SPECTRA.

[break][break] Jayden leans down against his Dragapult, gripping suddenly on his DOUBLADE that finds its way back to him. A SPRINGTIDE STORM starts and the Rocket Admin attempts to thrust their opponents with it, but that's when the SHATTERED PSYCHE hits. The shimmer of a late WIDE GUARD attempts to protect his trainer from the damage, but it's no use.

[break][break] A blast of energy crashes into Jayden in a swell of immense power, thrusting him off his mount and then into the roaring sea.

[break][break] FEAR immediately swells in violet eyes before the darkness swallows him whole.
